Meet Bodhi.

This is Bodhi’s own page — one of the community cats of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, with a photo, a story, and the spot where this cat is usually seen. Every cat here is looked after through Trap-Neuter-Return or found a home through adoption. When you’re done, the button at the end takes you to all of them.

Bodhi: surfer dude & wise cat

BODHI

Named by Anna, age 10, on Oct. 7, 2026. She’s from Maryland and met COTB’s Laurie Peterson when they were watching the then-unnamed cat on the ramp.

General location — watch from a distance & don’t feed the cats!

Type:The only gray and white short-coat Tabby of his colony. He has amber eyes.
Sex:Unaltered male of unknown age
Status:Community Cat

• Fantastical Fib: He used to tend bar at Pier 14 Seafood Restaurant, but got fired for cause: refusing to wear clothes, never mind a uniform.
• Truth: In the movies, Bodhi was the name of a surfer. The Buddhists revere the sacred Bodhi tree for its wisdom. Smart Bodhi the cat loves waves, not traps.
