Follow ‘Cats of the Boardwalk’ on Instagram
We are proudly expanding our digital footprint and hope more followers will find us on Instagram where we are publishing videos of Cats of the Boardwalk (COTB) efforts. We tell the story behind trap, neuter, and return (TNR) sessions undertaken to control the population of feral beach-cat colonies.
On COTB’s Instagram account, you will see short clips of team volunteers interacting with the local community as well as the felines. We demonstrate highlights from the hours our founders, Laurie and Ron Peterson, along with volunteers, put into TNR thereby limiting feral cats’ reproductive capabilities.
There are at least 20 cats calling Myrtle Beach’s Boardwalk and Promenade their home. Cats of the Boardwalk, along with the municipality’s Animal Control Officer Trott, work together to perform TNR services and educate the public about their efforts.
